Land Access and Approvals Manager
Meet Trevor Ennis-John, Land Access and Approvals Manager at Global Lithium Resources. Trevor is responsible for securing all access agreements and government approvals required to construct and operate our Manna Lithium Project, as well as facilitating baseline studies for our Marble Bar Project; he is also responsible for developing our Environmental Management System as part of Operational Readiness.
Trevor started his career in the government and construction sectors before entering the mining industry in 2008, and since then has held a variety of roles at Rio Tinto, Karara Mining, Mineral Resources and Barto Gold. He has enjoyed working in spectacular Australian locations such as Arnhem Land in the NT, Karijini National Park in the Pilbara and in the Great Western Woodlands in the Goldfields.
Trevor enjoys the variety that comes with being an environmental professional, working with staff across all areas of an operation, from the senior executive team to plant operators and everyone in between. He has worked across all stages of mining, from initial exploration, development, construction and operation through to rehabilitation and mine closure. “It has given me the opportunity to meet and learn from lots of inspiring and passionate people and learn new things,” he says.
On what attracted him to Global Lithium Resources as a business, he says: “The opportunity to work in the lithium industry, which will be a huge part of the energy transition and climate change solution in the decades to come, was very appealing. I was excited by the challenge of working on two exciting projects and setting them up for success, and I wanted to be part of the team to help deliver on Global Lithium’s ambitious goals.”
Outside of work, Trevor enjoys spending time with his family and indulging in his hobbies of basketball and music.
