Wei Xie

Project Director

Mr Wei Xie joins Global Lithium Resources as Project Director, bringing more than 15 years of extensive experience managing large-scale resource projects across diverse commodities including gold, iron ore and alumina. His career spans tier-one global organisations and listed companies, with experience across both surface and underground mining, integrated processing operations and project execution.

A proven business executive and operational leader, Mr Xie has a strong track record of driving operational transformations, delivering projects on schedule and within budget and building high-performance teams in socially and culturally sensitive environments. He is experienced in leading decentralised mining operations across different mining methods and advancing projects from resource and reserve definition through to disciplined, effective execution.

Mr Xie is recognised for fostering intrinsic ownership, aligning teams around clear values and principles, building performance cultures that endure. In his role at Global Lithium, he is responsible for advancing the Manna Lithium Project through development while embedding governance discipline, ESG stewardship and a self-sustaining operating foundation to support long-term responsible production. Generating value for Global Lithium and ultimately our customers and shareholders.

Mr Xie holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from the University of Western Australia and an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He remains technically active and is a Professional Member of Engineers Australia.
