Global Lithium Resources & Kakarra Aboriginal Corporation celebrate First Nations voices at record-breaking AIATSIS Summit 2026!

We are incredibly proud to have partnered with the Kakarra Aboriginal Corporation to sponsor three attendees and send our Community Relations Manager, Nicole Stein, to the inspiring AIATSIS Summit 2026 in Gold Coast last week.

This collaboration further underscores Global Lithium Resources’ (ASX: GL1) commitment to genuine engagement and shared learning with our Traditional Owners.

The AIATSIS Summit, co-hosted by the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies and the Danggan Balun Aboriginal Corporation, was a record-breaking event, bringing together 2,824 delegates from across Australia – including 2,291 in person – making it the largest gathering of its kind.

Under the powerful theme, “Our Truth. Our Power. Our Future” the Summit served as a vital national forum for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, leaders, youth, academics, and stakeholders to collaborate on critical cultural, governance, and research issues.

Sharing her reflections, Nicole Stein said attending the AIATSIS Summit 2026 was an incredibly enriching and inspiring experience.

“By sharing this opportunity with Directors from the Kakarra Aboriginal Corporation and engaging with the Summit’s theme, we reflected on the importance of First Nations voices and deepening Global Lithium’s commitment to building strong, respectful partnerships and understanding of critical cultural and governance issues.”

The Summit also championed youth leadership through dedicated programs and scholarships, fostering the next generation of First Nations leaders.
