Manna

The Manna Lithium Project is an outcropping pegmatite exploration project located approximately 100km east of Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

In 2024, Global Lithium is progressing its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for the Manna Lithium Project, which will incorporate an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), detailed mine schedule, metallurgical and process flowsheet test work results and detailed operating and capital costs, amongst other key work streams.

The Company, in December 2023, completed a large-scale 60,000m  Reverse Circulation (RC) and Diamond Drilling (DD) campaign at Manna covering infill, extensional, metallurgical and geotechnical programs. The results of the CY23 program will be included in the DFS.

In February 2023, Global Lithium delivered its Scoping Study for Manna which confirmed the potential for a globally competitive lithium project. Following the robust Scoping Study results, the Global Lithium Board recommended the Project proceed directly to the DFS.

The Scoping Study highlighted excellent project economics and financial returns, including life-of-mine cash operating costs of US$688/t for a 5.5% Li2O spodumene concentrate. The Study identified the potential for low-risk open pit mining at Manna in a proven mining jurisdiction.

In July 2023, Global Lithium upgraded the Manna Lithium Project’s JORC 2012 Mineral Resource to 36.0Mt @ 1.13% Li2O after adding approximately 5,000 assay results from the CY2022 exploration program that were not available at the time of the previous update in December 2022. This upgrade included a 24.1% increase in total contained Li2O from 327,000 tonnes to 406,000 tonnes.

In December 2022, Global Lithium upgraded the Project’s Mineral Resource to 32.7 million tonnes @ 1.0% Li2O. The update was a 230% increase on the project’s maiden Inferred JORC Mineral Resource estimate of 9.9Mt @ 1.14% Li2O delivered by Global Lithium in February 2022.

During the 2022 drilling program, more than 33,685m of reverse circulation (RC) drilling and 6,138m of diamond core was drilled across the deposit. The main focus of the program was to expand the maiden Mineral Resource. This was achieved by testing the deposit along strike in both directions and extending the known lithium-bearing pegmatites down dip. This drilling program proved to be extremely successful as demonstrated in the significant Mineral Resource upgrade.

The maiden Mineral Resource was defined by 3,636m of drilling at relatively shallow depths comprising 21 RC drillholes for 3,354m and four diamond drillholes for 282.15m.

In April 2023, Global Lithium formally lodged the Mining Lease application (MLA 28/414) for the Manna Lithium Project with the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS). The application was based on the Manna Mineralisation Report and Supporting Document Statement, which was prepared by Global Lithium’s in-house project development team and peer reviewed by CSA Global. This is a significant step in Global Lithium’s pathway towards development and subsequent production at our Manna Project.
